Skeletal Remains Found in Pennsylvania Identified as Teen Girl Missing Since November

Kaitlin Whoolery, who went missing on November 23, 2023, was found deceased, officials revealed on Tuesday.

The Fayette County Coroner’s office identified the 17-year-old Uniontown resident’s remains after they were discovered in North Union Township on April 16.

The identification process took place following an autopsy on April 19.

Kaitlin Whoolery, known as “Lil Bit,” was last seen five months ago. She was described as a 5’3″ white female weighing 115 lbs, with distinctive features including a nose piercing, cross-chain, and bead necklace bearing the name “Blake.” The Pennsylvania CrimeStoppers issued a release on April 3 seeking information on her whereabouts as the search for her continued.

The forensic pathologist, Dr. Jennifer Hammers, was responsible for identifying the skeletal remains, according to information provided by Coroner Bob Baker in a release.

Baker confirmed that the remains belonged to Kaitlin Whoolery, who has been missing from Uniontown since November 2023. While her next of kin has been informed, details regarding the cause and manner of her death have not been publicly shared.
