SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J.New Jersey gubernatorial candidate Bill Spadea will host a high-dollar brunch reception in Seaside Heights on Saturday, May 10, featuring former Trump National Security Advisor General Michael Flynn as a special guest.

The event, promoted as a rally and fundraiser, includes two exclusive $3,000 and $5,800 roundtable tiers, with the higher package offering a photo opportunity with both Spadea and Flynn. The brunch will take place at Ocean View on the Seaside Heights boardwalk and is being organized by Ocean County GOP Chairman George Gilmore.

Gilmore, who earns $5,000 per month as a consultant for Spadea’s campaign was convicted in federal court and sentenced to one year in prison on tax and mortgage fraud crimes. President Trump pardoned him on his last day in office during his second term.

As a result of his conviction Gilmore had to surrender his law license and stepped down as chairman of the Ocean County Repubican party.

In recent months, Spadea’s campaign funds have dwindled as high-paying donors have not come out to support his campaign, and hundreds of low-paying repeat Common Sense Club patrons have canceled their subscriptions after a Politico report earlier this year. Later, after it was learned that Spadea was being paid $225,000 by the grassroots campaign, the candidate refused to return the money, alienating and disenfranchising supporters who believed the money was going to be used to directly help conservative candidates throughout New Jersey.

Key Points

  • Bill Spadea is hosting a $5,800 roundtable and photo-op event in Seaside Heights
  • General Michael Flynn is scheduled as a special guest speaker
  • The fundraiser is part of Spadea’s 2025 New Jersey gubernatorial campaign

According to the event flyer, the day’s schedule includes an 11:00 a.m. roundtable discussion followed by a noon rally. Attendees who contribute $5,800 will receive access to both the roundtable and a photo opportunity with the candidate and Flynn. A separate $3,000 tier allows entry to the roundtable without a photo.

The Seaside Heights fundraiser marks one of Spadea’s more high-profile events to date, signaling a significant push for campaign contributions and visibility in a crucial phase of the 2025 New Jersey governor’s race.

It comes after a controversial event promising Lara Trump at Bedminster, but that event turned out to be bogus, and according to Trump RNC Delegate Mike Crispi, a ‘sham’.
