WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 23-year-old woman was fatally shot and a man wounded Saturday night in a shooting on T Street in the Eckington neighborhood, police said.
Fifth District officers responded around 11:03 p.m. to the 100 block of T Street, Northeast, after reports of gunfire. They found an adult female victim with gunshot wounds. Despite emergency efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was identified as Zarie Williams of Northwest, D.C.
Shortly after the incident, an adult male arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Investigators confirmed he was also injured in the same shooting. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
