Six bike-riding suspects wanted in DC carjacking

WASHINGTON, DC — Police are investigating an unarmed carjacking that occurred early Wednesday morning in the 2100 block of 18th Street, Northwest.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the incident happened around 1:14 a.m. on July 9. Officers responded to the scene where a vehicle was reportedly taken by a group of six unidentified Black males.

The suspects fled in various directions—both northbound and southbound—on mountain bikes along 18th Street, NW. No weapons were reported, and no injuries were confirmed at the scene.

Police are urging the public not to engage with the suspects and to call 911 with any information, referencing event number I20250335781.

As of Wednesday morning, no arrests had been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
