Teen slashed with scalpel in daylight Bronx attack

BRONX, N.Y. — A 16-year-old boy was slashed in the face and hand with a surgical scalpel during a violent broad-daylight dispute on Saturday outside 1220 Gerard Avenue, police said.

The attack occurred around 3:55 p.m., when the teen became involved in a physical altercation with two unidentified males. During the incident, both assailants punched and kicked the victim multiple times, in addition to slashing him with the blade.

The attackers fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, according to authorities.

Emergency Medical Services responded to the location and transported the victim to BronxCare Health System. He was listed in stable condition.

The first suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 16 to 17 years old, last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.

The second suspect is also described as a male with a dark complexion, around the same age, last seen wearing a light blue sweatshirt, light blue shirt, light blue sweatpants, and white sneakers.
