Queens and Bronx shops dish out big lottery winners

NEW YORK — Two players each won over $16,000 in Thursday night’s TAKE 5 evening drawing, with winning tickets sold in Queens and the Bronx, the New York Lottery announced Friday.

One top-prize ticket, worth $16,105, was sold at CPL Works, located at 34-51 Bell Boulevard in Bayside. The other was purchased at 165th & Anderson Superette, located at 1055A Anderson Avenue in the Bronx.

TAKE 5 draws from a field of numbers one through 39 and is held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Winning tickets must be claimed within one year of the drawing date.

Each retailer will receive a bonus for selling a top-prize ticket, in accordance with lottery policy.
