Marlboro home hit in break-in as suspect dressed as delivery driver

Man posing as delivery driver busted in Marlboro home break-in as hunt for accomplices continues

MARLBORO, NJ – A 38-year-old man is in custody following a bold daytime burglary in Marlboro where suspects posed as delivery workers before forcing entry into a home, police confirmed Monday.

The break-in occurred on Bramble Drive after a neighbor noticed suspicious activity involving a dark-colored Honda Odyssey. One of the individuals exiting the vehicle appeared to be dressed as an Amazon driver, raising concerns that led to a prompt call to police.

Responding officers found signs of forced entry at the rear of the residence and confirmed the home had been broken into. Doorbell camera footage later revealed three masked individuals wearing gloves, hats, and carrying satchels approaching the home just before the burglary.

No items were reported stolen, but the interior of the home had been disturbed. Not long after the incident, officers located a vehicle matching the suspect car’s description on Mount Laurel Road.

A man from Guttenberg was arrested in connection with the burglary and is now being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. His name has not been publicly released.

Police say the case remains open as detectives work to identify the two other suspects captured on video. Investigators are also looking into whether this incident may be linked to a series of attempted burglaries in Marlboro earlier this summer, which led to the arrest of four people in July.
