23-Year-Old Fatally Shot in D.C., Suspect Charged


WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch confirmed the arrest of 22-year-old Clarence McKnight in connection with the shooting death of 23-year-old Brandon Lewis.

The incident occurred on Friday evening when officers were called to the 900 block of Rhode Island Avenue in Northeast, D.C.,, around 6:37 p.m. following a shooting report. Lewis, found with gunshot wounds, was rushed to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.

McKnight, who has no fixed address, faces charges of Second Degree Murder While Armed.
