32-Year-Old Shot And Killed In Northwest, D.C.

Washington, D.C. – Detectives from the D.C. Metro Police Department are delving into the circumstances surrounding a fatal shooting that occurred in Northwest D.C. early yesterday morning. At around 2:41 a.m., officers from the Fourth District were summoned to the 900 block of Shepherd Street Northwest following reports of gunshots. They discovered a man with gunshot wounds, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Jeremy Dewayne Johnson from Southeast, D.C. In the wake of the incident, police have issued a lookout for a male suspect last observed heading west on Taylor Street Northwest. The suspect is currently evading capture.
