4 Juveniles Charged After Teen Stabbed, Robbed Following Fight in Clarksburg

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Four juveniles face charges, including attempted murder and armed robbery, after a teenage boy was stabbed and robbed following a fight that began on a Ride On bus in Clarksburg, Montgomery County police said Thursday.

Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police 5th District Investigative Section announced charges on Tuesday, April 21, weeks after the March 24 attack left the victim with a stab wound.

Fight escalated after bus argument

According to police, the incident began around 8:13 p.m. when the victim, a juvenile male, was riding a Ride On bus near Snowden Farm Parkway and New Cut Road with friends.

Investigators say he got into an argument with a group of juveniles he knew while on the bus.

After getting off near the 22700 block of Sweet Shrub Drive, the dispute turned physical.

During the assault, the victim was stabbed and had his shoes stolen, police said.

Victim sought help at nearby business

After the attack, the injured teen made his way to a nearby business, where someone called 911.

He was transported to a local hospital with what authorities described as a non-life-threatening stab wound.

Police have not released additional details about his current condition.
