43-Year-Old Man Injured in Shooting on N. Orkney Street

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A 43-year-old man was injured in a shooting on Tuesday morning in the city’s Fairhill neighborhood. The incident occurred at approximately 9:29 a.m. on the 2800 block of North Orkney Street.

According to police, the victim sustained a graze wound to his back during the shooting. He was transported to Temple Hospital by a private vehicle, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

The scene is being held for investigation by authorities. As of now, no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigations Group is leading the inquiry. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the group at 215-686-8270 or to provide tips anonymously via the PPD’s tipline at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
