BRONX, N.Y. — On Thursday, July 25, 2024, at approximately 2:57 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an unresponsive individual at 946 College Avenue, located within the confines of the 44th Precinct.
Upon arrival, officers found a 46-year-old male, later identified as Eric Ballek, unconscious and unresponsive inside the location. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived shortly thereafter and pronounced Ballek deceased at the scene.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Ballek’s death is ongoing.
