A winning third-prize Powerball ticket was purchased at a Howard Beach retailer for Monday night’s drawing.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — A New York Lottery player is holding a $50,000 Powerball ticket after a winning third-prize ticket was sold in Howard Beach for the June 29 drawing.

The winning ticket was purchased at Lindenwood Village, located at 82-31 153rd Ave. in Howard Beach.

Lottery officials said the ticket won $50,000 by matching enough numbers in Monday night’s Powerball drawing to claim the game’s third prize.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

New York Lottery prizes must generally be claimed within one year of the drawing date.
