59-year-old woman injured in McLean Street altercation

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A 25-year-old man was taken into custody Sunday night after allegedly assaulting a 59-year-old woman during a domestic dispute, according to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department.

Officers responded to a residence on McLean Street at approximately 10:33 p.m. for a report of a domestic incident. Upon arrival, they spoke with the victim, who stated she had been involved in a verbal argument with the suspect, identified as Marcus Crump of Wilkes-Barre.

During the dispute, the victim told officers that Crump struck and shoved her multiple times. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Crump was arrested at the scene and taken to police headquarters for processing and arraignment.
