A 60-year-old man was rushed to the hospital after a shooting in West Baltimore before dawn, leaving detectives searching for answers.

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 60-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot before sunrise in West Baltimore, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

The shooting was reported at approximately 5:25 a.m. on July 9 in the 500 block of Dolphin Street.

Responding officers found the victim suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Medics transported the man to an area hospital for treatment.

Western District detectives are investigating the shooting.
