65-Year-Old Woman Groped in the East Village

NEW YORK, NY — The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a harassment incident that occurred in the East Village. The incident took place on Saturday at approximately 5:20 PM in front of 11 East 8th Street.

A 65-year-old woman, while walking her dog, was approached by an unknown male who inappropriately grabbed her over her clothing. Following the encounter, the suspect fled westbound on 8th Street. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, about 5′ 9″ tall, last seen wearing a tie-dye t-shirt and navy-blue sweatpants. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect to come forward to help bring this individual to justice and ensure community safety.
