A 79-year-old Fort Washington woman died after a two-vehicle collision at a busy Suitland intersection, while both drivers suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Suitland, MD – A 79-year-old Fort Washington woman died after a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Suitland, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.
The victim, Ann Carol Taylor, was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the collision. Police said officers responded at approximately 6:30 p.m. Thursday to the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Spaulding Avenue for a report of a crash involving two cars.
Investigation into cause continues
A preliminary investigation determined the two vehicles collided in the intersection. Investigators have not yet determined what caused the crash, and the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is leading the investigation.
Taylor was transported to a hospital, where she died several hours later from her injuries, police said.
Drivers suffered non-life-threatening injuries
Authorities said both drivers involved in the collision were also injured. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
