NEW YORK CITY, NY – An elderly 89-year-old woman was attacked Wednesday afternoon by an unknown assailant. The assault was unprovoked, according to the New York City Police Department and now officers are searching for a black male suspect wanted for the heinous act.
According to police, at 4:28 pm, the man approached the 89-year-old woman in front of 551 West 161st Street in Manhattan, then struck in her in the face. Police say the assailant then fled eastbound on West 161st Street.
