MANASSAS, VA—Dewayne Lawrence James, 45, from Washington, D.C., has been arrested in connection with a domestic dispute that led to strangulation charges.
The incident occurred at a residence in the 15500 block of Toddsbury Lane on July 20.
Police responded to the scene early in the morning after receiving reports of a verbal altercation that escalated into physical violence. During the dispute, James allegedly strangled a 44-year-old female family member, causing minor injuries, before fleeing the scene.
James was apprehended on July 25, and he is now facing charges of strangulation. His court date is pending, and bond information has not yet been made available.
