A tragic car crash on Staten Island claimed the life of 29-year-old Edan Darmoni on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. At approximately 9:47 a.m., police responded to a 911 call about a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Drumgoole Road West and Watkins Avenue in the 123 Precinct.

When officers arrived, they found Darmoni unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from severe head and body trauma. He was rushed to Staten Island University North by EMS, but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries.

The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad revealed that Darmoni had been driving a Ferrari convertible southbound on Drumgoole Road West when he lost control of the vehicle, striking several trees. The investigation is still ongoing as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to the crash.

Darmoni, a resident of Staten Island, lived at 60 Vassar Street. This devastating accident is a sobering reminder of the dangers of high-speed driving.
