BALTIMORE, Md. — Baltimore police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the family of a young child found alone early Thursday morning in the city’s Northeast District.

Around 6 a.m., officers responded to a report of an unaccompanied child in the 5300 block of Harford Road. Upon arriving, they located the child and immediately took him to a nearby hospital as a precautionary measure.

The police did not provide further details on the child’s condition or age, but they continue to work to reunite him with his family. No information on how the child came to be unaccompanied was available.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the child’s family to contact Northeast District officers at 410-396-2444 or call 911.

As of Thursday afternoon, the police had not released any updates on the investigation.
