Two killed in separate shootings overnight in Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Two men were fatally shot in separate incidents within minutes of each other late Saturday night, police said. The first shooting occurred at approximately 11:14 p.m. on September 14, when officers responded to the 1100 block of Springfield Avenue in the Northeastern District.

Upon arrival, officers found a 59-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics attempted life-saving measures before transporting him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Later, at around 11:53 p.m., officers were called to the 700 block of Aliceanna Street for another reported shooting. A 36-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was also taken to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

Both incidents are under investigation, and no arrests have been made. Authorities have not indicated whether the shootings are related.
