Brick Mayor to Sit Out Again on Medical Marijuana Dispensary

BRICK-Today, the Brick Shorebeat reported Mayor John Ducey will sit the sidelines on yet another contentious issue in his township.   Last month, Ducey said he would not make any statement on the township’s pending election ballot referendum on school security.

Today, according to Shorebeat, mum’s the word for Ducey on Brick’s medical marijuana dispensary, this time fearing jail time.

“If I’m found to influence the board, it’s ethically wrong and morally wrong, and people find themselves in very hot water – going to jail and what not, about influencing a board,” he said in the Shorebeat article.

The town is considering a medical marijuana facility at 385 Adamston Road, an application which is before the township zoning board.
