Man Gunned Down in Southeast D.C. as Police Search for Suspect

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Monday morning in Southeast D.C., leaving one man dead.

Officers from the Sixth District responded to the 4100 block of Southern Avenue around 9:41 a.m. and found 34-year-old Dominic Johnson of Capitol Heights, MD, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by Prince George’s County Fire and EMS personnel, Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to call (202) 727-9099 or text 50411. A reward of up to $25,000 is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
