by Local News Report

BROOKLYN, NY — Two top-prize Take 5 tickets, each valued at $8,902.50, were sold for the Jan. 6 midday drawing, the New York Lottery announced Sunday.

The winning tickets were purchased at Stop One Supermarket, located at 4023 Church Avenue in Brooklyn, and Tops Markets, located at 890 Young Street in Tonawanda.

Take 5 players select numbers from a field of one through 39, with drawings held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Winners have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

The New York Lottery, which generated $3.8 billion for public schools during fiscal year 2023-2024, remains North America’s most profitable lottery.
