TRENTON, N.J. — A Union County lottery player has claimed the top prize in the Cash 4 Life game, opting for a $7 million lump sum payout after matching all five white balls and the Cash Ball in Wednesday night’s drawing, the New Jersey Lottery announced Thursday.
The winning ticket was purchased at Quick Stop Deli & Grill, located at 1723 Stuyvesant Ave. in Union Township. The store will receive a $30,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
The winning numbers drawn were 02, 16, 30, 42, and 55, with the Cash Ball 03. The player chose the cash option over the $1,000 a day for life annuity prize, which carries a one-time cash value of $7 million.
This marks the largest Cash 4 Life win in New Jersey since April 18, 2023, and is the state’s second biggest lottery prize of the year, following a $32 million Pick-6 jackpot won in Ocean County in January.
“This is a major win for Union County,” the New Jersey Lottery said in its official release.
Thousands of additional winners in drawing
In addition to the jackpot winner, 8,396 players won a combined $48,144 in cash prizes, ranging from $2 to $500. Of those, 2,497 players increased their winnings through the Doubler feature.
Cash 4 Life offers players a chance at two lifetime jackpots: $1,000 a day for life and $1,000 a week for life. The top prize has a fixed cash value of $7 million, while the second prize carries a $1 million lump sum option. Other prize tiers range from $2 to $2,500, or double with the optional Doubler feature.
Cash 4 Life tickets are sold in nine states, including New Jersey, and drawings take place daily at 9 p.m.
