by Local News Report

UPPER DARBY TOWNSHIP, PA — A lucky Pennsylvania Lottery player has won $5 million on a $5,000,000 Lion’s Share Scratch-Off ticket purchased in Delaware County, lottery officials announced Thursday.

The winning ticket was sold at Pantry Food Mart, located at 629 South Avenue in Upper Darby Township. For selling the top-prize ticket, the retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus.

$5,000,000 Lion’s Share is a $50 scratch-off game offering some of the largest prizes available in the Pennsylvania Lottery’s lineup. The ticket is part of the state’s high-stakes instant-win offerings.

The identity of the winner has not yet been disclosed. Lottery officials only learn the location of winning tickets after they are claimed and verified.

Winners of Pennsylvania Lottery Scratch-Offs have one year from the game’s end-sale date to claim prizes.
