NEW YORK — A 24-year-old man was attacked and robbed Sunday night after being followed into a store at 1275 St. Nicholas Avenue by three unidentified individuals, according to police reports.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:10 p.m., when the suspects confronted the victim and demanded money. One of the individuals displayed a firearm and physically assaulted the victim, striking him multiple times, police said.

Following the assault, two of the suspects exited the store and attempted to steal the victim’s Jeep Cherokee. Although they were unable to drive the vehicle away, they successfully removed an undisclosed amount of cash from it.

All three suspects then fled the scene in a Ford Explorer, taking with them the victim’s cellphone and wallet. Authorities confirmed that the victim declined medical treatment and was not hospitalized.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made as of Monday morning.
