Bergen county player bags $221k lottery jackpot

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — A Bergen County lottery player is now $221,666 richer after matching all five numbers in Wednesday night’s Jersey Cash 5 drawing, officials confirmed Thursday.

The winning ticket, which marks the ninth Jersey Cash 5 jackpot claimed this month, was purchased at Green Way Markets, located at 112 N. Maple Avenue in Ridgewood. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the top-prize ticket.

The winning numbers drawn were 09, 23, 24, 32, and 33. The XTRA number was 04 and the Bullseye number was 33.

In addition to the jackpot win, several other players scored secondary prizes. Six players matched four numbers along with both the Bullseye and XTRA to win $1,500 each. One ticket matched four numbers plus XTRA for a $750 prize, and 28 players matched four numbers and the Bullseye to take home $500 each.

May sets pace for jackpots in Jersey Cash 5

This latest win brings the total number of Jersey Cash 5 jackpots awarded in May to nine, compared to six during the same month last year. The current prize marks the game’s 29th jackpot win of the year.

The Jersey Cash 5 continues to offer daily drawings and growing jackpots, with players encouraged to check their tickets regularly for winning combinations.
