PLAINVILLE, CT — A lucky Connecticut Lottery player has claimed a $50,000 prize on a Cash Royale scratch-off ticket purchased at Kwik Mart Southington, officials confirmed Friday.

The winning ticket was sold on June 6 in Southington. It is one of the top prizes available in the Cash Royale game, which is part of the Connecticut Lottery’s lineup of instant win offerings.

The winner’s identity has not yet been released, and it is unclear whether the prize has been claimed in full. Under Connecticut law, lottery winners are public record unless claimed through a legal trust.

The retailer, Kwik Mart Southington, is located in Plainville and may be eligible for a bonus from the Connecticut Lottery for selling a top-prize ticket.
