NEW YORK, NY — Two Take 5 players each won $16,518 in Saturday’s evening drawing, according to the New York Lottery, with the winning tickets purchased at locations in Jackson Heights and Manhattan.
Shahbaz Deli Inc, located at 7403 37th Avenue in Jackson Heights, and 561 Straight Deli Grocery Inc at 561 Lenox Avenue in Manhattan, each sold a jackpot-winning ticket for the June 14 Take 5 evening draw.
The Take 5 game features numbers drawn from a field of one through 39. The lottery holds daily drawings at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., offering players two chances per day to win cash prizes.
Players have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim any prizes, including the top prize, which is divided equally among all winners who match all five numbers.
Each winner will receive the full $16,518 amount before applicable taxes are withheld, as there were exactly two top prize winners in the evening drawing.
Take 5 sees frequent citywide wins
Saturday’s drawing marks yet another instance of multiple winners sharing the Take 5 top prize. The game regularly produces winning tickets throughout the five boroughs and surrounding counties.
The New York Lottery continues to remind players to check their tickets and claim winnings within the designated timeframe. “Prizes can be claimed for up to one year from the drawing date,” lottery officials stated.
All New York Lottery proceeds support education across the state, contributing billions annually to public school funding.
The next Take 5 drawing is scheduled for Monday evening.
