Multiple shots fired one man dead on east lafayette

BALTIMORE, Md. — A man was killed late Tuesday after multiple shots were fired in East Baltimore, triggering a ShotSpotter alert that led police to the 1900 block of East Lafayette Avenue.

The alert came in around 10:00 p.m. When officers arrived, they found an unidentified male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The victim’s identity has not been released, and there is currently no information about possible suspects or a motive.

Investigators secured the scene and are working to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting.
