ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA – Police are asking drivers to use caution after several reports of a loose pig wandering near major roadways in Albemarle County.
According to the Albemarle County Police Department, a full-grown black pig has been seen along Owensville Road and Old Ballard Road, creating potential hazards for motorists. The department’s Animal Protection Unit is attempting to locate and secure the animal, but as of Thursday afternoon, it remains at large.
Authorities are urging anyone who knows the pig’s current location or owner to contact ACPD at 434-977-9041.
