HAGERSTOWN, Md. – A Washington County woman turned an ordinary trip to the doctor into a $50,000 lottery win after buying a scratch-off ticket to pass the time.

The winner purchased a $20 All About Cash ticket from Liquor Locker, located at 1740 Dual Highway in Hagerstown. She said she decided to play while waiting for her appointment and ended up matching every number on the ticket.

The woman said she initially spotted several $1,000 and $5,000 prizes before realizing she had won the game’s second-tier $50,000 prize. She verified the win using the ticket scanner and later claimed her prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.
