Brooklyn woman scores $1 million top prize on Ohio scratch-off ticket in Delphos

DELPHOS, OH — A Brooklyn, New York, resident turned a stop in Delphos into a life-changing win after claiming the top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s $1,000,000 Cash Payout scratch-off game.

The winner, whose name was not released, chose the $500,000 cash option instead of receiving $40,000 annually for 25 years. After mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 27.125%, she will take home $364,375.

The winning $20 ticket was purchased at Love’s Travel Stop #555, located at 1910 E 5th Street in Delphos. The $1,000,000 Cash Payout game offers top prizes of $40,000 per year for 25 years, and as of October 10, only two of those top prizes remain unclaimed.

The Ohio Lottery has been running since 1974 and has contributed more than $34 billion to education across the state. The game continues to attract players from in and out of state chasing high-tier wins.
