FAIRVIEW, NC – A husband and wife were found dead inside their Buncombe County home Thursday evening, prompting an active investigation by sheriff’s detectives.
Deputies discovered the bodies of Paul and Kimberly Giacobbe at 97 Noble Road shortly after 5 p.m.
Authorities confirmed that while the circumstances of their deaths remain under investigation, there are no suspects or threats to the public.
The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office said detectives are working to determine how the couple died.
Deputies assure public safety
District 1 Captain Dustan Auldredge said the department waited to release details until the couple’s relatives had been notified. “Our hearts and thoughts are with this family and others impacted,” Auldredge said. “We will continue to prioritize the family and their needs at this time.”
Investigation ongoing
Officials have not released additional details regarding the cause or manner of death, pending the results of forensic and medical examinations. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office continue to gather evidence from the scene and interview those who knew the couple.
