Perrysburg man turns 50-cent bet into $25K Pick 5 jackpot

PERRYSBURG, OH — A Perrysburg man struck big with a small wager, turning a 50-cent Pick 5 ticket into a $25,000 win on a drawing held earlier this week.

The winning ticket was purchased at Speedway #2866 on Fremont Pike Rd., where the lucky player matched all five numbers to claim the top prize. After taxes, the winner will take home $18,218.75. His name has not been released by lottery officials.

Pick 5, one of the Ohio Lottery’s daily draw games, offers players the chance to win substantial prizes twice a day, with drawings held every afternoon and evening except Saturday nights.

The Ohio Lottery says it has provided over $34 billion to support education statewide since its founding in 1974.
