Teen charged as adult in fatal double shooting of two 16-year-olds in Pitcairn

PITCAIRN, PA – A 16-year-old boy has been charged as an adult in connection with a double shooting that left two other teens dead in Pitcairn in June.

Allegheny County Police announced the arrest Wednesday, identifying the suspect as 16-year-old Jamon Brookins.

Detectives say Brookins is accused of shooting and killing 16-year-old Tyrant Sutton and 16-year-old Isiah McCarthy on Shaw Alley near Wood Street on June 26.
