Maumee woman scores $50K Holiday Cash Vault win from $10 scratch-off
MAUMEE, OH – A Toledo-area woman turned a $10 scratch-off into a $50,000 payday after playing the Ohio Lottery’s Holiday Cash Vault game and hitting one of its second-tier prizes.
The lucky ticket was purchased at True North #507, located at 933 W. Boundary St. in Perrysburg. The player, who has not been publicly identified, will receive $36,437.50 after the standard 27.125% in state and federal tax withholdings.
Holiday Cash Vault offers a top prize of $500,000 and currently has three top prizes and 11 second-tier $50,000 prizes still up for grabs. The overall odds of winning any prize from the game are 1 in 3.50.
The win adds to the growing list of recent prize claims from Ohio Lottery players across the state. Since 1974, the lottery has contributed more than $34 billion to education in Ohio.
