QUEENS, N.Y. – A 16-year-old boy was stabbed aboard a southbound MTA Q25 bus in Jamaica on Tuesday afternoon, prompting a police search for the attacker who fled after the assault.
Authorities said the incident occurred around 3:40 p.m. in the area of 82-74 Parsons Boulevard. The suspect approached the victim and stabbed him once in the abdomen before getting off the bus at Parsons Boulevard and 82nd Drive and running from the scene.
The victim was taken by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jamaica Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.


Police described the suspect as wearing a burgundy jacket, teal sweatpants, black socks, and white sneakers, and carrying a black purse.
Detectives are investigating the motive for the attack and reviewing surveillance footage from the bus and surrounding area as they work to identify the individual.
