Upper Darby, PA – A 23-year-old woman is facing charges of attempted murder after reportedly hitting her boyfriend with her car following an argument at Taco Bell. Destenee Green is sought by police in connection with a New Year’s Eve incident that left the victim with multiple injuries.

According to police, an altercation occurred inside a vehicle at the fast-food restaurant before the boyfriend exited to diffuse the situation. As he walked away, Green allegedly drove her car onto the sidewalk and struck him from behind.

The Upper Darby Police released a statement indicating the victim is “lucky to be alive.” Surveillance footage reportedly shows the moments leading up to the incident, including the moment Green allegedly hit the victim.

Residents nearby witnessed the aftermath, including a young boy who described hearing a crash. “I just hear a crash and I look outside and he’s on the floor,” he recalled, noting that the damage to the vehicle was significant.

Police reported an increase in domestic violence incidents during the holiday season, with concerns for those in toxic relationships. Officials urge individuals to seek help and avoid volatile situations.

As of Sunday, Green remains at large while her vehicle has been recovered. Authorities have encouraged her to turn herself in.
