$100K winning Powerball ticket sold at Walmart in Clinton County
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – A Powerball ticket worth $100,000 was sold at a Walmart in Clinton County for Monday night’s drawing, making one Pennsylvania Lottery player significantly richer thanks to the Power Play® multiplier.
The winning ticket, sold at the Walmart located at 167 Hogan Boulevard, matched four of the five white balls drawn—5, 27, 45, 56, 59—and the red Powerball 4. Because the player opted for the $1 Power Play feature, the standard $50,000 prize was doubled to $100,000. The Power Play multiplier drawn was two.
Walmart will receive a $500 bonus for selling the prize-winning ticket. The identity of the winner has not yet been released, as the prize must be officially claimed and the ticket validated before any details are made public.
Players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. Lottery officials are reminding ticket holders to sign the back of their tickets immediately. Winnings from tickets purchased online will be processed directly into players’ accounts after claims are verified.
In total, more than 20,400 other Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball tickets won prizes in Monday’s drawing, including over 5,000 tickets with Power Play and more than 3,200 with Double Play.
The Powerball jackpot now climbs to an estimated $156 million annuity, or $70.5 million cash, ahead of Wednesday’s drawing.
