Police seek identity of person tied to string of vehicle break ins on Jahnke Road
Richmond, VA – A series of vehicle break-ins reported along a Southside corridor has detectives asking the public to help identify a person they believe is connected to multiple thefts from parked cars.
Richmond Police said Property Crimes detectives began investigating after receiving several reports in early January of vehicles being entered in the 7100 block of Jahnke Road. In each case, property was reported stolen from the vehicles, though police have not released the total value of the losses.
Through the investigation, detectives developed a person of interest and released a photograph in hopes someone may recognize the individual. Police said the person may be driving a silver-colored Ford Taurus.
The thefts remain under investigation as detectives work to confirm the suspect’s identity and determine whether additional incidents may be connected.
Anyone with information about the identity of the individual is asked to contact Property Crimes Detective D. Holmes at (804) 351-6650 or call Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.
