Boston stabbing death leads to manslaughter charge against south boston woman

A Friday evening stabbing inside a South Boston apartment has turned into a homicide case, with a 24-year-old woman now facing upgraded charges.

Boston, MA – A South Boston woman has been arrested and is expected to face a manslaughter charge following a fatal stabbing inside an apartment Friday evening, according to Boston police.

Officers responded around 5:52 p.m. to a report of a person stabbed at 258 Old Colony Avenue, where they found an adult male suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported by Boston EMS to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead Saturday.

Police arrested Gisselle Pascual, 24, of South Boston, initially charging her with Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon. Following the victim’s death, investigators, in consultation with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, moved to upgrade the charge.

Authorities said Pascual will now be charged with manslaughter and is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
