Man found shot to death on Southeast sidewalk in early morning killing
Washington, DC — A man was found shot and killed on a Southeast sidewalk in the early morning hours, prompting a homicide investigation in the city’s Seventh District.
Officers responded around 2:08 a.m. Tuesday to the 400 block of Brandywine Street, Southeast, where they located an adult male unconscious and not breathing with apparent gunshot wounds.
DC Fire and EMS personnel arrived on scene, but despite lifesaving efforts, the man was pronounced dead.
Police identified the victim as 34-year-old Delonte Turner of Southeast Washington.
The Metropolitan Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No suspect information has been released.

Officials said a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
