Investigators are asking for the public’s help after a suspect was captured on camera following a shooting that left a man wounded
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police have released surveillance images and video of a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting at a Southeast D.C. apartment complex that left a man hospitalized.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department and the District of Columbia Housing Authority Police Department, the shooting occurred at approximately 1:17 a.m. on May 17 in the 5300 block of Dix Street SE.
Responding officers located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
DC Fire and EMS transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Investigators said a suspect involved in the shooting was captured by a nearby surveillance camera.
Authorities have released the footage as they work to identify and locate the individual.
Police have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting or a possible motive.
