Third-prize-winning Power Play ticket worth $100,000 sold at Graham Avenue retailer ahead of latest Powerball drawing
BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A Powerball ticket purchased at a Brooklyn drugstore delivered a $100,000 prize after matching enough numbers in Wednesday’s drawing to secure a third-tier win, according to the New York Lottery.
The winning Power Play ticket was sold at Katz Drugs, located at 76 Graham Ave. in Brooklyn. The ticket matched the numbers required for a third-prize-winning Powerball ticket and was worth $100,000.
The prize was tied to the June 10 Powerball drawing. New York Lottery officials announced that one third-prize-winning Power Play ticket was sold in the state for the drawing.
Powerball players select numbers from a field of one to 69, while the Powerball number is drawn separately from a field of one to 26. Players who purchase the Power Play option can multiply non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times, depending on the multiplier drawn.
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. and are televised nationwide.
The New York Lottery reported that it remains North America’s largest and most profitable lottery, contributing $3.6 billion during fiscal year 2024-2025 to support public schools across New York State.
