Police say a 22-year-old man was arrested after a teenage girl reported she was sexually assaulted at a party in Rostraver Township.

ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A 22-year-old man has been charged with rape and other felony sex offenses after a teenage girl reported she was sexually assaulted during a party earlier this month in Rostraver Township, according to police.

Jared Braun was arrested Thursday and is charged with rape by forcible compulsion, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and related offenses.

According to Rostraver Township Police, the investigation began after the teenage victim reported that she was sexually assaulted while attending a party on Wildwind Drive that was attended by about 15 people.

Police said the victim told investigators Braun sexually assaulted her during the gathering.

According to the criminal complaint, Braun was wearing a revolver in a holster during the party. The victim told investigators she feared Braun’s reaction if she attempted to stop the alleged assault.

Police said Braun left the party after the incident.

Braun was arraigned and denied bail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
