Toledo man hits two winning Scratch-Offs in the same week after deciding to test his luck again
TOLEDO, OH — A Toledo man turned one incredible lottery win into two after claiming a $1 million Ohio Lottery Scratch-Off prize, then buying another ticket that paid an additional $25,000 later the same week.
The Ohio Lottery said the player purchased a ticket for the new $50 Millionaire Blowout Scratch-Off and uncovered the game’s top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years, valued at $1 million.
The winner chose the lump-sum cash option of $500,000 and will receive $366,250 after mandatory state and federal tax withholdings of 26.75%.
Still feeling lucky after the life-changing win, the Toledo man purchased another Millionaire Blowout ticket and won an additional $25,000.
After taxes, the second prize will add $18,312.50 to his winnings.
The winner told the Ohio Lottery he plans to take a longer vacation than originally planned, buy a new vehicle, spend some of the money on his children and save the rest.
The $1 million-winning ticket was purchased at Mike’s Corner Store, located at 2425 Key St. in Toledo.
Millionaire Blowout is a $50 Scratch-Off game offering prizes ranging from $75 to $1 million. As of July 23, there were 56 top prizes and 48 prizes of $25,000 remaining, according to the Ohio Lottery.
