Fairfax County, VA – Fairfax County Mason District Supervisor Andres Jimenez has been charged with reckless driving after a Virginia State Trooper allegedly clocked his Porsche traveling 104 mph in a 70-mph zone on Interstate 66.
Dashcam video from the May 5 traffic stop shows the trooper pulling over Jimenez in the express lanes shortly before 9 a.m. Authorities said the elected official was also seen passing a school bus before being stopped.

During the stop, the trooper told Jimenez he had been traveling “104” mph in the posted 70-mph speed zone.
Jimenez apologized and told the trooper he had not been paying attention to his speed.
“I wasn’t paying attention,” Jimenez said during the encounter, adding that he was on his way to work because “the board meeting started in 20 minutes.”
According to reports, Jimenez was driving a 2025 Porsche at the time of the stop.
Case remains pending
Jimenez was charged with reckless driving under Virginia law. The case was continued during a July 20 court hearing and remains pending.
Because the case involves a sitting Fairfax County elected official, the Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney requested that a special prosecutor from another jurisdiction handle the prosecution due to potential political conflicts.
